Welcome back! I hope you all had a great Christmas break! We have some exciting things to look forward to in math this month.

6th grade will be finishing up coordinate planes and starting on expressions and equations.

7th grade will be getting into geometry - area, surface area, and volume.

8th grade will be working on linear equations and functions.

Algebra will be getting started with systems of equations.

Welcome to November! Here are some updates of things happening in math class:

6th grade has been working on dividing with fractions and decimal operations. They are about to start long division.

7th grade just wrapped up operations with positive and negative rational numbers and is just beginning expressions and equations.

8th grade regular recently finished a geometry unit on triangles and parallel lines and will be getting started on linear equations.

8th grade honors just completed graphing linear equations and functions and will be starting on writing linear equations.

In honor of recently celebrated All Saints Day let's ask these soon to be Saints that have contributed to mathematics- Blessed Ramon Llull, Blessed Francesco Faà di Bruno, and Blessed Nicholas of Cusa- to pray for us!
