This first unit in science is focused on identifying and learning to use types of lab equipment and how to measure using the metric system. We have done several labs that involve the proper use of lab equipment to measure various objects. In a few weeks, the students will have their first science test which will include a hands on or practicum portion. Students will get to demonstrate to me the proper use of lab equipment to measure solids and liquids. Stay tuned for further updates as 6th,7th,8th start focusing on their various branches of science!
