I am excited to have your child in my class this year! The first days of school are always busy and exciting. We will spend a lot of time learning and reviewing classroom routines and getting acquainted with each other. 

In phonics, we will begin the year by reviewing the letter sounds. Once we have finished reviewing the letters, the students will learn new blends and digraphs.

In math, the students will work on their addition and subtraction skills.

In religion, we will learn about the Good Shepherd. The first-grade students will attend Mass on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. 

In social studies, our first unit covers families and communities.
