Advent is a time to prepare your heart and home for the birth of Jesus.

Religion

 This month, we will talk about the season of Advent and the birth of Jesus.

 Please work with your child so they can say the Our Father and Hail Mary independently without prompting.

We will also be discussing some Christmas traditions around the world.

Reading and Phonics

 In phonics, we are working on combination er, trigraph igh, digraph ai, digraph ay, and suffixes -less, -ness, -ly.  When  you are reading with your child, work with them on these things and have them tell you about them.

 Please continue to work on sight word lists and A.R.!

Math-

 We will continue working on addition and subtraction to 20.  Please work on flash cards and the practice Math Racer tests.

Social Science and Science-

We will read the book Me On the Map and discuss where we live. We will name our city, state, country, continent, and world.
