What Palm Sunday Means | Simply Catholic Hosanna to the Son of David! Hosanna!

What We Are Learning:

  • Math: Students will wrap up Topic 9 on Monday with their Mixed Numbers Quiz. Students will be assessed over their ability to convert improper fractions to a mixed number, how to add mixed numbers, and how to subtract mixed numbers. There is no study guide for Math quizzes and we had a study day on Friday to review all skills. On Tuesday, we will begin Topic 10 learning how to Multiply a Whole Number to a Fraction.

  • Religion: Students just completed Ch. 13 in their Religion text reviewing the Seven Sacraments. On Monday, we will begin Ch. 14 reviewing specifically about the Sacraments of Healing (Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick). On Tuesday, we will go to the church to examine our consciences before All School Confessions on Wednesday after the 8am Mass.

  • Social Studies: There are still a couple of groups left to present for our State Assessment Project! Once we complete those presentations, we are officially done with the project. We will get back into learning more about our states and regions of our country, starting back with the Southwest Region (Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona)

A Few Reminders...

  • For those who are interested in donating to our classroom, here is the link to the site: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/7FWRP99MO4IT?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_ggr-subnav-share_R61QJ2KVSXFXPCJTCQ1Q
  • Students are now allowed to bring water bottles that are stainless steel and they don't have to be necessarily clear. They are expected to ONLY have WATER inside of their bottle. Failure to abide by this rule will result in your child using only clear bottles for the remainder of the school year.
  • Every day your child should bring back to school their agenda and their school computer fully charged.
  • Our canned food drive will be happening all throughout Lent! Canned foods such as corn, green beans, and fruit will be collected and donated to the Lord’s Diner in May. Thank you so much for helping your child practice one of the three pillars of Lent - giving alms.
