1. How do I become a Magdalen parishioner? What is the process like?
First, fill out our brief form here, and our Steward of New Parishioner Accompaniment will reach out to you via email or phone. Then, a member of our new parishioner accompaniment team will meet with you to get to know you and accompany you with your journey at Magdalen. As a large parish, we strongly recommend and encourage this meeting so that you can get to know someone in the parish and grow deeper in your relationships with other parishioners. They are a bridge between you and information at Magdalen on ways to volunteer, get involved, and make friends.

2. Do you need to be a parishioner to get married at Magdalen? If so, what is the marriage prep process?
Yes, you do need to be a registered parishioner. Once you get engaged, contacting the parish office is the first step to meeting with a priest. The marriage prep process is about six months and includes meetings with the priest, marriage mentor couples, and other engaged couples.

3. How do I get my child baptized? Is there a requirement on my part as the parent?
The first step for baptizing your child is contacting the Parish Office. To baptize at Magdalen, the family must be registered parishioners. If it is your first child, please sign up and attend a required baptism class. They take place the second Saturday of the month. After that, our parish office can schedule your baptism for your child. They take place after the Saturday 4:30pm Mass and the Sunday 11:30am Mass.

4. What's the best way to stay up-to-date about what's going on at Magdalen?
Our weekly bulletin contains everything you need to know about what's coming up at our parish. We also send out an email on Fridays at 3:00pm that includes a reminder of everything happening within the next week. Also, follow us on social media on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

5. What is the easiest way to get connected and meet new people?
The best way to meet new people is to get involved! We offer a wide range of events and ministries to help you grow in your stewardship and love of Christ. If you are new to our parish, check out the information on our how to get involved here: Join Our Parish Family.

6. How do I know which ministries are a good fit for me?
One place to start is by taking the Gifted to Serve inventory offered by our diocese. This quick survey will help you identify your gifts and strengths and provide suggestions for ministries to get involved with. For a more in-depth gifts discernment process, we offer sessions of Called and Gifted throughout the year.

7. How does Magdalen's adoration chapel work, and how can I get involved?
We offer perpetual (24/7) adoration in our Holy Family Adoration Chapel.  Feel free to stop in anytime you’d like, or sign up here to commit to a weekly timeslot. For more information about adoration at Magdalen, click here.
