Members of a stewardship parish are ready to minister to the various needs of their own parish family as well as the needs of the wider community. It is important that a stewardship parish recognize the need to help all who may be suffering but also take time to celebrate special events in their lives as well as the successes of the their parish family. Parishioners seek the parish family as a primary community to serve and to be served - to give and to receive. Reflect on what service the parish has provided to you and your family and then look for new ways that you can give back their kindness.

Health and Wellness

This group encourages medical parishioners to volunteer their time and talent.  They provide blood pressure screening, glucose checks, fly shots, parish blood drives, community CPR/AED instruction, and community awareness projects under the supervision of a medical director.  The blood pressure screening along with a community health or safety topic display occurs on the first weekend of every month after all masses, with the exception of holiday weekends.  The location for blood pressure screening is usually the parish office conference room.

Building & Grounds Maintenance

Even though the campus is only ten years old, because it is a very active community, the buildings incur wear and tear.  On occasion, we have need for painters, plumbers, electricians, general handyman repair, and other services.  If you possess the necessary qualifications to perform this type of work and have an interest in volunteering your talent, please contact Fred.  Due to our property insurance policy terms, we are required to properly manage the upkeep of our campus and screen volunteers.

Rose's Blankets for the Poor

"May God's Love and mine keep you warm"
This is put on each quilt that is made by Rose Schumacher.  The goal of this grouop is to help Rose.  We cut seams from the donated jeans and then cut 7" and 8" squares.  Rose then takes the squares, sews the squares together, adds a fleece backing and ties thenm with yarn to finish making the quilts.  (The fleece backing is donated by Dave Hill from One Spark Foundation) The quilts are then donated to One Spark Foundation and are handed out to the homeless population in need.  As of this date, Rose has made and donated over 1,070 quilts.  Our group meets twice a month (1st and 3rd Mondays) from 8:30 am until 12:00pm in the Marian Room.

Snow Removal
Due to the need to always allow easy access for our students into school and people into Church for Mass, we have a need for volunteers in good health to remove snow from our sidewalks and spread ice melt. Due to the size of our parking area, we hire professionals to remove parking lot snow. We provide two snow blowers as well as shovels. Due to the start times for school and our early Mass times, volunteers must be willing to arrive early in the morning to clear the snow after any overnight snowfalls and spread ice melt.
