It is very important that the albs our altar servers wear are neat, clean and well maintained.  This ministry is very flexible by allowing you to set your own schedule.  A few times each year, the albs are laundered and minor repairs are made.

This group provides blood pressure screening on the first weekend of every month after all the Masses in the Parish Office with the exception of holiday weekends.

Even though the campus is only ten years old, because it is a very active community, the buildings incur wear and tear.  On occasion, we have need for painters, plumbers, electricians, general handyman repair, and other services.  If you possess the necessary qualifications to perform this type of work and have an interest in volunteering your talent, please contact Fred.  Due to our property insurance policy terms, we are required to properly manage the upkeep of our campus and screen volunteers.

The Campus Babysitters Ministry is a new ministry still in the planning stages with the administrative details still being established.  This new ministry seeks to provide on-site babysitters for the different ministry functions in the parish and other campus events that need babysitters.  This is NOT a nursery ministry for babysitting during Masses.  The ministry volunteer's minimum age is 12, and volunteers age 18 and older must be VIRTUS trained.

Compassion Ministry is serving your fellow parishioners in simple ways that enrich their lives. Examples would be transportation to church, doctor appointments or treatments, errands, respite care, house sitting during funerals, providing information about community resources, phone calls or visits to homebound and sick, as well as identifying and ministering to other needs.

Each Wednesday a volunteer from this group prepares and delivers a meal to the parish office for the priests and Sister Connie. Schedules are made in advance, and you would be scheduled once a year.  Minimum age 18.

Magdalen parishioners volunteer at the Lord’s Diner the 3rd Tues of every month. Volunteers are needed from 12:00-3:00 pm to cook and prepare the meals. Others are needed from 5:00-8:00 pm to serve and clean up. Food handler’s card required. Go to Sedgwick County Health Department for a list of classes.  You can also check the bulletin throughout the year for other times.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a worldwide lay organization of Christian men and women. The objective is to fulfill the two great commandments ‑ Love of God and Love of Neighbor ‑ by helping the needy. Our Society provides food for the needy with food drives and assists the parish with individuals who seek the parish's help. The St. Vincent de Paul also sponsors the Meals on Wheels and God's Food Pantry organizations.

Magdalen Catholic School – VolunteerThe purpose of the Catholic school is to assist the family in creating an atmosphere that reinforces the Catholic way of life. All school parents are members of the Magdalen Catholic School Sports Committee. If interested in volunteering with gym supervision, concessions, fundraising, and/or the outdoor complex, you can fill out an information form during school registration each year or contact the Athletic Director. We welcome all help from parents and parishioners! If you do not have children in school at this time and are interested in assisting with the athletic program, please contact the school office.

All Magdalen Catholic School (MCS) middle school students (grades 6-8) have the opportunity to participate in the MCS athletic program. All volunteers interested in volunteering must complete ViIRTUS training. Check the MCS web-site or contact the school or parish office for assistance with training dates and locations.

Coaching
If you are interested in coaching or becoming an assistant coach, you must complete an annual coaching application and have received VIRTUS training. You do not have to have a child playing in the sport. Applications are available at our website or through the school office.

Volunteers are needed to purchase, stock, and organize inventory of food, drink, and concession supplies for the indoor and outdoor PTO Athletic concession stands. All proceeds go directly back to Magdalen Athletics. Contact the Magdalen Catholic School Athletic Director for more information.

PTO is open to all parents who have children enrolled in MCS.  Through increased communication, this group attempts to build a network of people concerned with education.  The group also sponsors fundraisers and coordinates volunteers for many activities in the school.
