There are some amazing things going on in our PSR classrooms this year. Last week, I visited our fourth graders who were busy acting out the story of Samuel. First Samuel was confused by the Lord's calling but eventually understands that he, as a servant of God, must be listening for His call. Good job, Mrs. Pickert and the fourth graders! Next, I stumbled upon Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Gagnon sharing the Pumpkin parable with their class of second graders. We are just like a pumpkin. Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, God takes all of our yucky insides and turns them into a shiny, glowing presence, just like our jack-o-lanterns. Mrs. Phillips even got her hands dirty and pulled out all of the gunk! Our high schoolers had a wonderful discussion about what it means to be a saint in preparation for All Saints Day. Mr. Roth and Mr. Brotemarkle did a great job of inspiring them all to strive for saintly life. Way to go! I hope you are asking your children what they've been learning in class. I'm sure they are full of great stories!
