When the Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, he had two primary goals in mind -- to preserve the Catholic faith of its members and to provide for the financial protection of the widows and children of those members. Our insurance program continues to receive an "A" rating by A.M. Best and a "AAA" rating by Standard and Poors -- the highest ratings available. Today the Knights of Columbus offers permanent and term life insurance as well as tax qualified and tax deferred retirement annuities.
