Hospitality

In a parish, where hospitality is priority, guest and parishioners feel they belong and are appreciated. Hospitality leads to a greater sense o "belonging" and fosters a growth in stewardship. When we are treated with a warm smile and a welcoming spirit, we are open to welcoming others. Willingness to accept others with a heartfelt welcome is a gift of God. Reflect on what you can do to make others feel welcome when they elect to participate with us in our worship services or other parish events.

Dinner Club

Meet new people! Re-acquaint yourself with old friends! Join Magdalen Dinner Club! Two sessions are held each year; one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Sign ups are required for each session. You are grouped into a "club" of between six and eight individuals and/or couples. Each of you takes a turn hosting dinner in your home, providing the main dish and the rest of the group providing the rest of the dinner! You have six months to meet four times. It is a great way to get to know other parishioners and share in Christ's fellowship..

Magdalen Moms' Group

Magdalen Moms get together from September to May on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Friday of every month from 9:00-11:00 am.  We also have a Moms Night Out every 3rd Thursday night of the month starting at 7pm.  Our activities at night range from a movie, dinner or bowling.  During the Tuesday meeting we try to have a guest speaker and provide babysitters.  On Friday's we do projects geared towards the younger children, usually based on the week’s gospel readings or similar subjects and they are encouraged to participate!   This also gives us a chance to talk about home life, school, work, kids, etc.  Additionally, we make Advent Wreaths to sell with candles to help support Moms Group.  Come find us on Facebook!!
