Encountering Christ by Helping Others (E.C.H.O) is our middle school youth ministry night. During the School Year we will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Parish Hall. Students who ware in the 6th-8th grade are invited to come together to enjoy an evening of games, discussions, engaging stories, Christian music videos, and small group activities. Our topics & themes include lessons from Sunday's Mass Readings, Lives of the Saints, and How to Survive Middle School. E.C.H.O is not another class in the day, rather it is an evening that connects students in deeper friendships with their peers and with God. It is a great mixture of Food, Fun, and Faith. Middle School students from any school may begin this program at any time of the year.
Our ECHO meetings for the month of February and March are as follows:
March 5th: Dodgeball Night March 12th: Finishing Strong March 19th: SPRING BREAK NO ECHO March 26th: Why is there Suffering in the World?
*Please download a Youth Ministry Registration Form from the Documents Tab on the right side of this page and bring it with your student to our next ECHO Youth Night if you have not done so already this year.
Parent's, we could use your help in helping feed our students. Please consider signing up for ONE Night this year in cooking & bringing food for everyone at ECHO. This could include a Nacho's Night, Burrito Night, Chili Night, Sandwich Night, Pizza Night, or some other kind of delicious easy to make dinner. Contact Chris to be added onto our schedule.

8th Grade Retreat
April 12-13th, 2013
Church of the Magdalen
The retreat is for 8th grade students only and extends from Friday evening to Saturday evening. Led by a five member, college age team, the youth will learn about the virtues of temperance and prudence, the meaning of chastity, how to live chastely in an unchaste world, friendship and about various vocations from a panel of guest speakers. The students will also have an opportunity for adoration, confession and Mass. The Saturday portion is unique in that it includes a separate retreat for the parents of the eighth graders participating. The parents will receive information on living chastely within their marriage, leading their child to a chaste way of life, the struggles their child is facing from today’s world and how to help him/her overcome these struggles. Our 8th graders will soon be entering a new chapter in their life, one where temptations abound and traps are laid by those who don’t care about their soul or health. Let’s help our young people gain the tools now, so that they can face the temptations head on and with God’s help.
