Annette Boardman

I was born in 1961 in Colby Kansas, the sixth of nine children. After graduating High School I went to Colby Community College and earned my Associates degree in Art. I then transferred to Kansas State University where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with concentrations in painting and graphic design in 1985. My love of teaching art came later in life.  After college I held several jobs in Advertising, Publications & Layout. After my husband and I started a family, our two children became my full time job. I began teaching art in 2001 in Shawnee Kansas for four separate Catholic Schools. Upon moving to Wichita in 2003 I volunteered to teach art for 6th grade and took over the school Yearbook. In 2007 I was asked to stay and teach middle school art at Magdalen and also started editing our church ministry publication called ‘Magdalen Messenger”. I truly love teaching and educating children about art and its endless possibilities, interpretations and applications.
