Erin Eilert

I am very excited to teach science at Magdalen, it feels like a second home.  I grew up in Andover and graduated Andover High School in 2002.  I went on to K-State and graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in Psychology.  I then moved to Kansas City for physical therapy school.  I began PT school in the summer of 2006, but realized that I was being led in a different direction.  I have always loved teaching, so I enrolled at Avila to pursue my Graduate Certification in Education.  I completed the program in October of 2007.  I received a job at Shawnee Mission South High School teaching Biology and Chemistry immediately following my completion of the program.  I was married to my wonderful husband Mike in November of 2007.  We grew up together in Andover and also graduated from K-State in 2006.  We are in the process of moving back to Wichita and can not wait to finally settle down and begin our lives together.  We have an adorable lab mix named Porter.  I love dogs and hope to add another one to our family soon.  In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, traveling, running, playing volleyball, and visiting friends and family.
